My Mother

Lately, I’ve been feeling my own mortality and realizing that none of us are getting any younger. It’s been the catalyst behind my recent photo shoots with my dogs. And now that my photography skills are improving, I have the opportunity to really capture my loved ones as I see them, full of life and love.

My mother has always dreamed of being a model, so I set up the garage and invited her over to do a photo shoot.  She was so excited. She showed up with six outfits and three pairs of shoes and was scolding me because I didn’t have a wardrobe rack to hang her clothes on. LOL, she is a natural model.

We got some really nice images and my mom was very happy, but more importantly we spent quality time together that didn’t involve shopping at Goodwill or going to the casino. I gained valuable insight about my mom and myself that day. I saw how her dreams manifested in me and I was glad that I could give them back to her for a brief moment.

  1. You know, I was thinking when I saw that first pic yesterday, “Boy, those pics are going to be so nice to have once she is gone.” How many people have something like that? You are talented, smart and blessed!

When you reach the end of your rope,

You will find the hem of His robe . . . SUE
